The word "solidarity" in English has no verb, in German there is: solidarisieren. I love that word. [I "solidare" myself with ***.] .... soliDARE as in… a daily mindset, practice - as an attitude, especially when one is in a privileged position.
I am German citizen with a German passport, the most privileged passport in the world. How did a nation go from Nazi-Deutschland to the present status in less than 100 years, I ask myself, when I travel without fear.
It has not always been like this for me. For the first 20 years of my life I grew up locked behind the Berlin wall. I was raised communist and hyper political. The fall of the wall threw me off, I became a computer musician, an internet citizen. The digital space is still my favorite.
It is up to us, my generation, now, our life time's value - to shape the human condition.
